Lin-Chi Wang is a nationally recognized Title IX and civil rights professional with a depth of experience serving more than fifty colleges and universities across the country. She has worked extensively with Title IX, Title VII, and Title VI, guiding institutions through anti-discrimination and sexual harassment grievance processes. Lin-Chi’s work spans investigations, hearing officer and appellate officer roles, and advising parties in internal grievance processes.
Lin-Chi is also a sought-after consultant, serving in critical interim roles for Title IX and Equal Opportunity offices in higher education. She has served as the interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Equal Opportunity and Title IX and interim Director of Investigations at the University of Denver, interim Title IX Coordinator at Union College, and interim deputy Title IX Coordinator at several institutions.
Lin-Chi regularly delivers training on Title IX compliance, conducting discrimination and harassment investigations, investigative interviewing, investigation report writing, conducting credibility assessments, and conducting and drafting analysis and rationale.
Lin-Chi is an approved sexual misconduct investigator with United Educators.
Previous Experience
Previously, Lin-Chi served as Director of Equity & Title IX Coordinator and Associate Dean of Students at Muhlenberg College, where she was responsible for training on, implementing, and enforcing the College's Equal Opportunity and Nondiscrimination Policy. Lin-Chi investigated and oversaw investigations into discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, intimate partner violence, stalking, and retaliation.
Prior to Muhlenberg, she worked as an institutional civil rights investigator for Michigan State University, handling sensitive, high-profile civil rights matters. Earlier in her career, Lin-Chi was a labor and employment attorney and legal services attorney. Lin-Chi’s legal background provides her with a deep understanding of employment laws and the complexities of workplace dynamics, which enhances her effectiveness in equity and civil rights work.
